GWC Program Overview

Gateway Center houses 369 beds for men who are enrolled in residential programs and actively working to end their homelessness. We also operate a publicly-accessible Client Engagement Center that serves men, women, and children by connecting them to resources and partners in-house and throughout the Atlanta metropolitan area. In addition to our own services, we are the “gateway” to the community continuum of care- we provide information, referral, and contact to drug and alcohol recovery programs, mental care facilities, and other homeless services.

If you are interested in a program, please contact our Client Engagement Center, or “CEC” at (404) 215-6600 for more information and to assess next steps.
Regular program admission occurs Monday through Friday at 7:00 am and operates on a first come, first serve basis. Because we can’t anticipate program availability in advance and program spots are in high demand, we recommend arriving early. Space fills up fast!

Next steps can include:

  • Assignment to a Gateway Center program bed
  • Connection to and placement in a partner program, or
  • Referral to a partner agency

We also provide in-house partner programs such as Georgia Works! and other extra-curricular programs: Art Therapy, the Gateway “Faces of Homelessness” Speaker’s Bureau and Back On My Feet.

*No fees are required to participate in Gateway Center programs.

**Individuals in Gateway programs must be committed to clean & sober living. There is zero tolerance for alcohol or drug use. The Gateway Center is a non-smoking facility. All programs have an 8pm curfew.
