The Career Resource Center
Gateway Center’s Career Resource Center provides essential tools, trainings, employer linkages and coaching services to help our guests prepare and search for employment. Meaningful job readiness experiences can lead to better career opportunities. The Career Resource Center supports our guests in identifying an array of workforce options that connect with their experiences, skill sets, and professional aspirations.
GWC’s Career Resource Center will serve:
- Men age 18 or above
- Must reside in a GWC Facility
- Willingness to commit to one’s self
- Willingness to develop good work habits
- Must demonstrate an ability to work in a work environment
The Career Resource Center provides the following services:
- Soft skills training
- Financial management
- Organizational skills
- Interpersonal skills & teamwork
- Workplace preparation & communication
- Job retention
The Career Resource Center utilizes partnerships with local workforce development agencies and businesses to create internships and job opportunities that our guests can participate in, which shapes future careers and inspires them to excel in their personal life as well as in community.
Our rigorous job readiness program puts our guests in a position to succeed. The experiences our guests take from their jobs and internships do exceedingly more than adding a line to their résumés.
